Hi, I'm Paul McGrew, I'm a family physician in Modesto, California. My journey to health started 15 years ago.  At that time I was busy practicing with young kids.

In my early 40s, my younger brother had a heart attack. I prayed, "God, show me what to do."

I really wanted to prevent heart disease. I have a strong family history on both sides, of my parents, and I didn't want to end up in a Cardiologist's office.

Small protein-carbohydrate balanced meals

I did some reading, and initially I started a vegetarian diet, which didn't work for me.  Then I discovered the key to optimal health is eating frequent, small meals, that are balanced protein-carbohydrate, low in fat, and that would even out your blood sugars through the day. Eating this way helps one to burn fat and helps with inflammation, which is a corner stone to disease, whether it be heart disease or most cancers. I began to follow that lifestyle myself, and had success.  

I lost some weight, cholesterol dropped into the first percentile, and I was really happy with that. I'm a trainer, and I wanted to train the patients that came to me and my practice on health eating. I began to teach classes, but most everybody stopped because it was too difficult and too complicated. I was looking for a program that allowed them to have a coach; a program that would make it easy and that had reading materials so they could really understand the basics of health.

My wife

My wife was one of my flunkies on my old program. She started this program, liked it, lost weight and was really happy. I thought, "My goodness, if Jerry can do this program, anybody can." Before I wanted to recommend this program to a lot of people, I wanted to try it myself, even though I was at a normal weight. I went on the weight loss phase of the program and I lost 15 pounds, down to my college weight, so I felt great about that.  More importantly, I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and feet for the year previously. Within two weeks, it went away and it has stayed gone since then. I have been delighted with that personal result. My cholesterol is still in the first percentile. My weight is great and my blood pressure is great.

Helping others

Since then I have been able to coach over 100 clients pursuing optimal health. Many people have done wonderful. Most folks that have tried the program have lost weight and liked it. Some have gotten off medicines such as diabetic and high blood pressure medicine. Many just have a feeling of more energy and well-being. I encourage you to talk with the person who invited you to this website and try the program. I think you will be delighted just as I have been.
